ENGIM participates every year in the UNIVERSAL CIVIL SERVICE , the volunteer program promoted by the Italian Government’s Department for Youth Policies, aimed at young people between 18 and 28 years old.
Universal Civil Service means committing to a project aimed at the unarmed and nonviolent defense of the homeland, education, peace among peoples, and the promotion of the founding values of the Italian Republic , through concrete actions for communities and the region.
It is a commitment to others, participation and responsibility, an opportunity to grow through interaction with other cultures, a way to experience different realities, to understand and share, a means of professional growth, a tool for peace and integration, a form of assistance to those experiencing hardship or with fewer opportunities, an act of love and solidarity towards others , a resource for the country, and a valuable experience for approaching the world of work.
The Universal Civil Service also represents an important opportunity for training and personal and professional growth for young people, who are an indispensable and vital resource for the cultural, social, and economic progress of the country.
